I made some aloo paratha one day and my aunty suggested that onion raita would go very well with that. It was indeed yummy and since then even for pulao or biryani, I prefer making this raita instead of the usual one with onion tomato and cucumber.
Onion-1, sliced vertically
green chilli-2-3, slit
ginger-small piece, chopped
mustard seeds-1 tsp
1. In little oil, add mustard seeds. When they splutter add asofoetida and curry leaves.
2. Now add ginger, greenchillis and onion and mix for 2-3 min.
3. Turn off the heat and yoghurt and salt.
