wheat (godambu )payasam


Whenever I prepare a traditional meal this is what I make for dessert. It is not only simple to make but super tasty and super healthy.....ok may not be "super "healthy but healthiest amongst desserts .
Ingredients:
Bulgur wheat/broken wheat-1 cup
coconut milk-1 can.....you can cheat and add some whole milk
jaggery-1 cup or acc to taste
cumin powder, ginger powder, cardamom powder-half tsp each
fried cashew and raisins
Method:
1.In a tspof butter,roast the wheat lightly and then pressure cook it adding 2 cups of water.
2.In a saucepan, melt the jaggery. then add the cooked bulgur wheat.
3. I add a cup of whole milk and boil it for 10-15 min
4, Then add the coconut milk.....let it just heat through. Switch off the stove. Doesn't need overcooking.
5.Add the the rest of the spices and nuts. MIX. Adjust the sweetness if required with sugar or reduce it by adding milk.
6.Serve warm or cold
