Ashok made chilli chicken today and surprisingly the kids loved it . It seems like a good appetiser with drinks too. Its an indo-chinese kind of preparation.
Chicken-1 kg , boneless
ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
salt and pepper
Ginger and garlic- chopped 1 tbsp each
Soy sauce-1 tsp
chilli garlic sauce- according to taste
Cashew- 1 tbsp (optional)
1. Make a paste of egg, cornflour , ginger garlic paste, salt and pepper. Dip the chicken pieces in it and deep fry. Keep it aside.
2. In little oil, add red chilli, cashew, ginger and garlic and then the diced onion and capsicum. Saute.
3.Add pepper, ajinomoto, salt, little chilli powder.
4. Mix in soy sauce, chilli garlic sauce. Add 1 cup chicken stock and 2 tsp vinegar. Bring to boil then add 1 tbsp cornflour prediluted in little water. Lastly add the chicken pieces and stir till its coated well in the sauce.
Serve it hot .
