This is typically a dish from kerala eaten with kadala curry ( black chickpeas) or even banana&sugar.
Rice flour-2 cups
jeera-1 tsp
fresh grated coconut
water-as required
1. Mix first three ingredients and add water little by little till you can hold it into a shape and still crumbly on breaking it.
2. Fill it in the puttu maker adding coconut in between and top it with cocont and steam for about 8 min.
3. If theres no puttu maker, you can use coconut shell or just any vessel.
4. Sprinkle some coconut and serve it with kala chana.
