Parippu vada

You will find this in every little tea shop in South India. Its a great starter and very flavouful
1 Cup Chanala dal
2. 1 tblsp Rice
3. 1 Big Onion chopped
4. 1 tsp Ginger
5. Pinch of Turmeric
6. Salt to taste
7. Coriander finely chopped
8. Curry Leaves chopped(1 twig)
9. Green Chillies chopped

 Soak chanadal and rice for 2-3 hrs in water.

Grind them coarsely.
Then add all other ingredients and mix well.

Make round balls and flatten them to form vadas.

Deep fry them till brown.
Serve hot with tomato ketchup or sauce or coconut chutney.
