Winter is here and fermentation of idly-dosa batter becomes an issue ,That is when recipes like this come in handy. Its a healthy and a tasty alternative. This tastes just like pesarattu but has a subtle flavour of mint despite the huge amount in it.
Moong dal/Green gram-2 cups, soaked for 4 hrs
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Mint leaves-1 bunch
Oil- few tsp for cooking
1. Grind the moong dal with all the ingredients except oil to the consistency of a pancake batter.
2. Spread it on a tava like dosa or pancake and cook it on both sides with few tsp of oil and serve it with chutney of your choice.
